Abstract
The upbringing context or environment is one of the influential components on training strategy (macro method); therefore, in adopting any training strategy, it is necessary to pay attention to the environmental conditions of training context and keep accordance with that. Meanwhile, in Islamic Training science, so far, this "ratio" and how to preserve "accordance" - between the environment and the training strategy - has been discussed less, especially in incompatible environments. Among Islamic training thinkers, Ali Safaei Haeri is one of the few who has paid attention to this issue. In this regard, the present study seeks to specifically answer two important questions by analyzing his works applying a descriptive-analytical method: First, what are the environmental threats and what effective classification can be proposed for them in terms of their impact on the training strategy? Second, what training strategy can be applied to protect the trainee from the identified threats? The findings of this study indicate that environmental threats are divided into two categories: "external" and "internal" based on their position in relation to the trainee. Hence, "suspicion", "appearance and attractiveness", "sarcasm and ridicule", "command and prohibition", "backbiting", "ignorance and isolation of the individual in a group", and "misplaced sympathy and benevolence" are regarded as prominent examples of external threats; whereas, "habits" and "prejudices" can be regarded as prominent examples of internal threats. It was also found that conventional strategies are not sufficiently effective against the foresaid threats, and the only effective strategy in this regard is to provide immunity to the trainee by creating and strengthening the three characteristics of "personality", "freedom", and "thinking".
