Aims and Scope

Objectives of Publishing the Quarterly Journal of Gender and Family Studies

The “Women’s and Family Research Institute,” aimed at explaining a systematic religious perspective on issues concerning women and family, deepening religious expert research, responding to theoretical needs, and defending the ideological boundaries in this field, was established in 1998 under the title “Office for Women’s Studies and Research” under the supervision of the “Management Center of the Islamic Seminary for Women.” In 2013, it was renamed the “Women’s and Family Research Center.”

The quarterly journal Gender and Family Studies is published as the research journal of the “Women’s and Family Research Center” with the following objectives and policies:

  1. Objectives:

1.1. Production and reproduction of ideas in the field of women and family with a religious approach.

1.2. Critique and review of scientific theories and opinions.

1.3. Strengthening the family-oriented discourse in the field of research.

1.4. Facilitating communication between research, educational, and scientific centers, as well as among researchers and experts in the field of women and family, to share and exchange knowledge, experiences, and new scientific achievements.

  1. Policies:

In pursuing its objectives, the journal adopts the following policies:

2.1. Safeguarding religious foundations and teachings.

2.2. Giving priority to research that addresses contemporary theoretical or practical issues.

2.3. Creating a platform for consultation and the exchange of ideas.

The Gender and Family Studies journal invites professors and researchers from both seminary and university settings to collaborate in publishing scientific articles and values any suggestions or critiques from scholars and writers.
