In the beginning, they considered autonomy as an equivalent to the right to choose as well as the right to manage life; therefore, they wanted women to enjoin it. Later on, with the rise of criticism about liberalism, autonomy was also regarded as a masculine and individualistic value that was not appropriate to feminism. Then, there was an attempt to review the concept of autonomy in such a way as to embody not only the fundamental reality of communicative feature of mankind, but also to liberate women from the oppressive devices of communication. Consequently, today's autonomy literature encompasses a variety of approaches such as process, content, causality, chronology, etc., which will be briefly reviewed in this article. Many of these theories deal with the role of religion in women's lives and judge Muslim women's autonomy. In the light of the foresaid issues and because of the importance of autonomy in political thought, the relation between autonomy and Muslim women as well as issues arising from this concept will be analyzed and evaluated. In some cases, these reflections include the reports of encounter and of exposure whereas in other cases they involve the inference of possible positions. مفهوم خودآیینی از عصر روشنگری تاکنون همواره از مهم‌ترین ارزش‌های اخلاقی و سیاسی در غرب قلمداد می‌شده است؛ ازاین‌رو فمینیست‌ها نیز به‌تفصیل آن را تحلیل و بررسی کرده‌اند. ایشان در آغاز خودآیینی را معادل حق انتخاب و مدیریت زندگی‌ می‌دانستند و خواهان برخورداری زنان از آن بودند. بعدها با افزایش انتقادات به لیبرالیسم، خودآیینی نیز ارزشی مردانه و فردگرایانه قلمداد شد که درخور فمینیسم نیست. سپس برخی کوشیدند مفهوم خودآیینی را به گونه‌ای بازخوانی کنند که هم شامل واقعیت بنیادین ارتباطی بودن بشر شود و هم زنان را از لوازم سرکوبگرانة ارتباطات رهایی بخشد؛ درنتیجه امروزه ادبیات خودآیینی دربرگیرندة رویکردهای متنوعی همچون فرایندی، محتوایی، علّی و تقویمی است که در مقالة حاضر به‌اختصار بررسی خواهند شد. بسیاری از این نظریه‌ها به نقش دین در زندگی زنان‌ می‌پردازند و دربارة خودآیینی زنان مسلمان قضاوت‌ می‌کنند. نظر به این مباحث و نیز اهمیت خودآیینی در اندیشة سیاسی، نسبت خودآیینی با زن مسلمان و مسائل ناشی از این مفهوم نیز تحلیل و ارزیابی خواهد شد. این تأملات در مواردی گزارش رویارویی‌های رخ‌داده و در مواردی استنباط مواضع ممکن خواهد بود. https://www.jgfs.ir/article_94116_35effc542dc36933a9c7ba0d56006380.pdf
